PRICE FOR HAPPINESS

Ordinary human happiness can take many forms. Sometimes obvious, sometimes unexpected. Where to find it and what to sacrifice to it? Olga Dabrowska’s film The Price for Happiness shows stories of people who have lost their way to their happiness and are trying to find it again. Relationship, love, power, escape, and your own children that can bring hope and joy, but more often they eventually blame for our mistakes.

The Price for Happiness unfolds the separate lives of several heroes, so that their journeys begin to cross over and eventually put together one big story of life. 

A tangle of parents you can meet every day, their children and partners. They often find their happiness unexpectedly, but it doesnť matter! A loving and life couple (Vanda Hybnerová and Ivana Chýlková) raising two children when a man from the past enters their harmonious life (Tomáš Hanák). The violent psychopath (Jaroslav Plesl) is seeking a daughter from a divorced marriage, while his former wife (Klára Pollertová-Trojanová) with his children suffers from his terror. Two teenagers run away from their families. A devout man (Pavel Řezníček) has no strength to protect his love.
